Grape – Saperavi
Category – Special Reserve Wine
Preparation Technique: Each year, winemaker selects the best grape clusters, based on their balance, the intensity of aroma and ability to maintain good acidity. Grapes are hand-picked and gently processed to make sure they maintain elegancy and fruit aroma. Once the fermentation process is completed, wine is put in French oak barrels to age for 15 months. Wine continues to age in the bottle, as well (minimum of nine months).
Tasting Notes: Wine has aromas of cherry, vanilla, dark chocolate and sweet spices, accompanied by a long, delicate aftertaste. A well-balanced tannin structure ensures that the wine will continue to further develop in the bottle and improve over the years. Due to the minimum filtration, a small amount of sediment may be produced in the bottle.
Serving Suggestions: Mukuzani Special Reserve goes well with barbeque and lamb haunch.
